Default Plastic engine covers

Hello,
I recently added a Takeda intake on my car. Since I'm not mechanically inclined it was installed at the dealership. My question is the plastic cover on the passenger's side of the engine bay does it have a function or can it be removed so it will be easier to clean the cone filter?
Thanks in advance,
Chris

The covers are mostly aesthetic, they do very little to help keep dust away (in fact they tend to keep it trapped under them). Whether they look good or not is up to you.

I will keep mine in.

Ugh...want this.

I really just leave my covers on so I don't lose or break them if they're laying around not on the car. I've lost some of the fasteners though from removing them so much.

Intake install takes like 30 minutes and 4 screws. You could have attempted it yourself.

Did you buy your Lexus from them? Or do they work on Lexus. Richmond Hill Toyota won't working Lexus unless you bought a used one from them. They are owned by the same group that own Lexus of Richmond Hill.

I bought it at Aurora Toyota. Their service department is wonderful to deal with.
