Can you tighten the rear-view mirror?
Hey guys, so I recently got my subs and have come across a small problem. Whenever the bass hits the rear-view mirror will vibrate straight down. After 5 seconds or so I can see my lap! Is there anyway to tighten the mirror or secure it someway so it does not do this?

Same thing happened to me when I first bought my car. Even with the stock subwoofer it would vibrate so much that the mirror was basically useless. There was a TSB where they switch out the original mirror with a new one that does not vibrate as much if your car is still under warranty. Maybe they might even do it if your car isn't under warranty.

Not that I'm aware of.... My rear view mirror is practically useless when I turn the volume up in my IS. Sucks, but that is what you have to expect when adding an aftermarket system. I have understood this for years and since haven't expected any use or reasonable functionality from my mirror. Fix it frequently and make sure you check you blind spot. FTW.

I looked in my mirror the other day while driving the IS and was surprised that I was looking at at my own lap when playing some low playing Gorilla Zoe tracks.... Love it, hate it. Is what it is. The price you pay if you wanna play low.

I found out the sound was coming from there by turning up the music and sitting in the backseat of my car, it was because the housing for the light was loose and moved around before I put the tape. Now it's not as bad. If you still really want me to post pics, I will later tonight.

No I did not. All I did was get into the backseat of my car, reach to the light and stick the tape underneath the light. Took literally a minute, if not less. The headrests do not get in the way.
