Default Front License Plate Holes

Ok guys I need your expertise, my car came with a front bracket on it and I think the front plate ruins the look of the car. I have the plate on at the moment because i think it would look weird with just the bracket and I don't want to drive around with holes in the bumper. Is there a cheap fix for this? What have you guys done? I know Im not the only one. Post up some pics!

Bumper Plugs that come color matched: https://www.bumperplugs.com/index.ph...gory&path=1_11

Or get your shop to fill the holes. I had the dimples where the plate holes would be, and the tow hook filled so my bumper is pretty much smooth all the way across now.

bumperplugs.com is a great way. The other method is to simply buy the plugs from a parts store local and just use touch up paint to color match it to your front bumper.

For my old car I made my own with some touch up paint and Nylon hole plugs from Home Depot.
Just got the plugs, sanded them down and painted them.
Cheaper then bumperplugs.com & I had extra touch up paint in the end

I honestly just removed the plate mount and left the holes be. On the dark cars they are less noticeable anyways. I'm kinda use to seeing them there now. Lol!

Default Primer?

If I buy the plastic plugs from Napa, do I need to sand and/or primer, before painting with the touch-up paint?

What I did was sand the plugs until they were smooth and scratched up, applied coats of touch up paint every 30 minutes or so, waited a day for it to dry, then wet sand and buff so the paint was smooth.

Will,

Thanks for the info. I appreciate the help.

Do you think 3 coats is enough?

It really depends on the paint. Just put as many coats until you feel it's all covered up. My starfire pearl touch up paint is really thin, so I had to put maybe 8+ light coats.
