yup i got the letter for those awhile ago but i dont have my car back yet but ill be sure to run my tank super low haha
i wouldn't depend on the quality of their gas. i keep track of my MPG through fuelly so when lexus stevens creek topped off my gas (due to the recall)... my MPG decreased dramatically.
p.s. - see March 15 for reference. it even affected the following fill up on march 30 and april 4. it took me 3 full tanks to get back to my normal MPG
btw, i only use 93 octane

Just had both of them done as well... any time you bring the car in for factory recall, they should fill up your tank. It is their policy from what I have been told... but only for recalls, not service bulletins or anything else.
really? i got cheated then, i had the windshield bolt recall done last month, didn't know free gas on recall visit thing, and conveniently SA never brought it up
Just had the wiper arm and trunk release recall completed this past Weds. No tank refill and service done in 90 minutes. Enjoy free food from the café and all the auto mags I can read.
I got my wiper arm nut and the internal trunk release lever done a while back when I brought it in for the engine misfire CSP for the 250 and they didn't even top off my tank, nbd. But I got a letter from Lexus mentioning about the wiper arm nut recall though I did the recall before they sent it to me.
I was just going to ask if they put in premium or regular for these complimentary fill ups
I guess its up to the dealer. Considering these cars recommend Premium fuel I would hope that is what they are filling. A lot of dealerships fill gas outside the dealership though so its all up to the tech taking your car to fill gas.
I told my dealership ahead of time I only want 91 Premium the last time I had recall work that came with free gas - otherwise i'd rather they just skip the fueling. Tech drove to Mobil, filled up 91 and left a copy of the receipt to prove it
I got my recalls done a couple weeks ago while getting an oil change... And they told me they filled up my tank too... I just figured they were being nice... LOL
Can you guys inform me on what the wiper arm nut recall was all about? I have a 2008 IS 350 and a couple of years ago while using my wipers the passenger one failed by bending upwards. I told me dealership on the next visit but they simply bent it back into place. I never received any letter. Please advise. Thanks!
