Default Auto Door Lock issues

Hi,

Recently I noticed that on my 2008 IS250, when I exit the car and push the door handle button, it beeps, and does not lock. I do not believe the spare key is in there, but that is how it is acting. If I manually press the lock button on the remote, it will lock. But when I have had this issue, and come back to unlock the car by touching the handle, it does not do anything. It is rather sporadic, on when it decides to act like this. Any ideas? Also, shortly before this, I had changed the oil and did the maintenance reminder reset, so could I have messed up the auto unlock, and the outer door button lock feature somehow?

Thanks

Low battery in the fob? Thats the first thing that comes to mind, but also I find that unless my key is quite close to the door (1' or less) it starts getting intermittent.

I will play with my car a bit later, I never use the button on the door myself

You didnt do anything to mess up the auto door lock. more than likely your door lock actuator is starting to go out.
