Default Dead Needle Light

Just discovered a part of needle light for RPM gauge is dim, about 1/4 of the needle in the middle.

First problem since I bought it a month ago and I believe it's very difficult to replace the dead light bulb behind gauge cluster so I'll probably need to live with it. So sad...

Yeah pretty much gotta live with it if you don't feel comfortable attempting the repair yourself.
I think someone said the repair was about $900 (parts + labor) at a dealership under warranty.
For $900, i'm sure you can get over it

Guy on eBay and posted on forums fixes it for about 150.00 but you got to send him your gauges. Takes about week turnaround.

It isn't a light bulb behind the gauge cluster, it's surface-mount LEDs soldered on the needle itself.

You may want to talk to this CL sponsor: https://www.clublexus.com/forums/7588660-post26.html

According to his post, he can even change the color.

I have a 2006, and just before my warranty expired that happened to me on the speedometer and tachometer needle. Of course the warranty covered it, but now at 143k miles on my car the same 2 needles are dimming once again! I've heard of others having the same problem as well. Just another common problem with the 2IS that I have to deal with.

Would you have a contact or a user name for this guy?

http://www.taninautoelectronix.com/

I bought a used console online which arrives Monday. I'll swap it out and send him mine to repair and then swap the fixed one back in. It'll be nice to switch the colors up a bit in the process.
