If you have had any practice with vinyl wrapping before, I suggest you do it yourself. Wrapping the roof isn't very hard and you can purchase the material from numerous vendors now.

What are you guys doing about those side strips along the roof?? Just 1 piece over everything? Or vinyl those separately? or ordering black strips?

I'm planning on vinyl'ing my buddies IS.. I've already done my GS along with another but those strips go from the bottom of the front window to the bottom of the rear window so it wasn't a problem.

The guy who did mine for me wrapped the side strips separately. He warned me there may be some issues getting the vinyl to stick on such a thin strip, but they came out fine. Oddly, I did end up with some bubbling in the crease between the strip and the roof, but nothing major. Just used a pin to pop the bubbles and flattened them out, barely noticeable now.

Actually that's perfect weather to do it. The heat will allow trapped moisture under the vinyl to evaporate quicker.

The guy who did my wrap also did them but I heard of a few members that just did the roof and order them separately and they were not too expensive

I did a buddy's '11 WRX a few weeks back. Bought the materials for $60 bucks, gloss black 3M 1080 Scotchprint and did it. The more people you have to help hold the material up the better and a felt tipped hard card is a life saver, besides that its fairly basic.

Sounds good, thanks guys... I appreciate the responses, I'm going to try to wrap those separately and see how they come out.

What size did you get to cover the entire roof on an ISX50? And did you order it from eBay at the $60 dollar price?

Is there a reason you guys aren't just covering the entire roof including the side strips? Can't you just use a card and push the material down in the crack between the roof and the strip?

You can just use an xacto-knife, but they also sell vinyl cutting string but I've never used that.
