I've driven my friend's 08 335i and true, it feels faster. but we've raced from dig and roll before (several times) and we were dead even till ~170km/h. now he is pushing 380whp after modding the hell out of his car

Having owned both I would put my money on my IS350 off the line on street tires than my 335i E90. The IS350 is much easier to launch but it could be my IS is on Michelin Pilot Sport A/S and my 335i was on the stock runflats which are rocks.
