That why most of us who us the 350 in snow get the 07 and up worth the extra to have traction off with the button. Cause we just got hit with over 2ft of snow and I had no issue driving during it with my snow tires. I don't even own a shovel to dig out I just use my car lol.

intent would be to turn it off when you first start the car lol

I'll agree with you on traction control though. My 07 ES doesn't even have a button to shut it off, I have to do a pedal dance lol
I prefer my RWD E36 M3 in the snow over anything Ive driven in the snow. Including quattro, and x-drive cars. Idk about lexus AWD but they are too slow to even be an option.

Just drive careful and keep it on the pavement. You don't want to end up like this guy:

dude, i know how you feels. I was surprised the first time I drove it in light snow, it's hard to get a grip for going braking....the car is just horrible. It really scare me to drive this car during snow. I have the same tires that I use on my 350Z, and my Z handles much better even with 275-rear and 255-front.

I am going to be living and working in norfolk virginia in the next 2 months coming from san diego. I bought my car here in California, 07 IS250 RWD. I pretty sure I'll have this problem during winter. Im still buying winter tires and ill get a feel first driving with and without the traction control.

I placed 2 40lb sand bags on either side of the trunk for a total of an extra 160lbs over the rear wheels and I find it has helped tremendously.

I made the mistake buying winter tires (Yokohama W Drive) in the stock 255 size. I think going to 225 would have helped a lot. What's the narrowest tire we can fit on the back?

I don't know about you guys but with snow tires the rwd is great. Yet to ever have an issue and I run 225-45-18 all around. No added weight just traction off.
