Did you do the work yourself? And how is it 'built in'? Is there a cutout where the cd slot used to be or is it just sitting in front of it?

The cutout is made in these pieces in front of the CD player

The shift **** isn't in the way when it is in Drive.

awesome. What are you using it for? If you are using it for Nav, do you need a data plan for that?

I use it for Waze which is Nav / Police trap notifier and Internet radio (Pandora or Slacker)
(A data plan is required)

Wouldn't have to cut into anything and it would be in near the same spot as you currently have it.
*Not knocking your work. I like the idea but just wanted to throw out another option for just about the same results.

I can appreciate that.... The mount looks like it will stick out farther than my solution. I look forward to pictures when you get yours installed.

Looks interesting. Not bad but a but out of place. Not a fan of the connector showing on the left side. Nice work though.
