IS 250 Trunk Lift Supports
Has anyone had luck finding aftermarket trunk lift supports that will fit a 2007 IS 250 with spoiler?

They are available from Sewell for $102 each.....

As for aftermarket, a quick search of Sachs, Tennaco (Monroe) and Rock Auto come back with nothing aftermarket. You may be stuck with buying from Lexus on these. To be honest, aftermarket lift supports range from $40 to $80 each depending on the vehicle and I wouldn't be to stubborn to pay $100 for OE Lexus on this one.

Thanks for the info Slammer1... I might have to resort to buying the OE but I was looking for another option that has stiffer springs so my trunk lid pops up and doesn't slam hard when I close it. Maybe I just got some defective ones from the start...

I agree with you edgeucated as I am also hesitant to buy the OEM struts. After alot of research it doesn't seem like anyone makes the aftermarket struts. The OEM part number I have found is 64530-53011 but I was told the new part number is 64530-53014. Does anyone know if this is correct and if so has there been a change in the design? I'm hoping they changed the design and it has more force and will last longer.

Remove everything from the trunk
remove two clips, 3 slide clips and the connector to the light. There are three other slide type clips that are near the weather strip but they just slide back when you pull back on the liner
I removed this clip first. I would remove and install one lift support at a time so the trunk does not fall on you.
This one second
used two screw drivers to remove.
