2009 IS with Navi - Bluetooth audio options?
So I just had to turn in my 2012 IS loaner back to the dealership and it reminded me how badly I wish I had real bluetooth streaming audio.
I currently have an 09 IS250 with Navi/BT Phone already.
I found the BT35-TOY but I can't find any clear information for installing it in cars that *already have bluetooth phone support*. I have no issues with the phone support my car already has, but I want a nice clean way to use bluetooth streaming audio instead of my current "pile of wires stuffed into my center console" approach. The bluetooth receiver I have in there is starting to get flaky and I'm looking for a solid solution.
Open to ideas, etc.

Edit: another reason I'm looking for something internal is to be able to use my steering wheel controls again.

I opt for the more expensive one which you see in many threads:

And this if you have ground loop feedback issue:
****************************
No need to turn on power everytime you enter the car; it is automatic.
It automatically switch between bluetooth phone support and bluetooth music. My iphone is connected to both. And you can tell the the sound comes from different speakers (blutooth phone vs music).
Spending the extra $15-$20 is worth it saving the hassle of pressing the power button everytime. Everything hides in the armrest compartment. The device is very small like a match box. Wire is usually taking more space, depending on the usb wires you use.

I've had the blackberry gateway for a few weeks now and I have to say that there's a significant drop in sound quality compared to being connected through the aux cable. In addition, the decibel output is a lot lower through Bluetooth. Normally I play music at sound level 30 but with Bluetooth I have to play at 40-45.
I've only tested this with iPhones so I can't really speak for its performance on Blackberry phones or Androids. Has anyone had similar experiences? I want to find out if I have a defective unit.
