i have a 2012 is250 rwd and i drive quite a lot. about 6 weeks old and i put 2300 miles on it already. I live in LA and i average aroudn 21. I go to school in SD so when i drive back or forth sometimes, i average liek 26 highway. Combined, i average 23-24. Its funny cause sticker says 21/30 which is not realistic..unless you are driving speed limit in no traffic

I was wondering if its just me or the car's fuel economy ratings are a tad bit over-exaggerated. I was getting 13 before I took a 2 hour total freeway drive and it went up to 16 mpg avg on the little display just about the dials. Is that a reliable source of info about fuel consumption? I'm not driving aggressively either, keep the rpms under 4k (although i did redline a couple of times).

My friend got a 2006 Lexus is250 rwd last month and we noticed there were some very weird modifications made to the two overhead camshafts, before we fixed it we were getting like 18mpg city but now it has never gone above 12mpg city. we are thinking it's because of the fuel we buy but honestly we're stumped

-star tron ring and clean and/or fuel tank cleaner
