Default very faint key clanking / turn signal type noise

I'm hearing a very faint clicking type noise that sounds like it's coming from underneath and behind the steering column. Sounds like keys clanking together on most cars or a turn signal sound but it is too faint to actually be either of those. Happens mostly when I'm driving but I'm pretty sure it has kept going for at least a moment or two after I'm stopped. It is mostly intermittent and random in occurrence but it is happening on a regular basis. It's an annoyance so I'd like to figure it out. Is this the dreaded "dash clicking" noise that I've been hearing about or something different?

I am getting some noise under the steering column as well. Can you check out https://www.clublexus.com/forums/is-...ing-wheel.html and download the zip file and see if its the same as yours?
