Defiantly going for stock look. Will keep emblem, I guess with this one you have the choice to go with or without it.
Also isn't the stock f sport grill painted a metallic grey ? Can I order the oem paint from dealer ?

I would just go for F-sport bumper upgrade on my 08 is350, but i don't want to sink too much dough into it, since I will probably pick up the 3rd gen is350 in a couple years. probably slap gfx front/ rear
to hold me over.

also, I haven't looked into it yet, but what's the difficultly level from 1-10 for installing the grill.
can i paint it myself without looking janky

You dont have to paint it. Look at Juvis pic.

You can easily DIY, 4 out of 10 max

Looks like the same exact one that a lot of members here have gotten off of eBay.

ok, for some reason I thought the OEM grill was painted a greyish color from factory.
maybe it's just black I could be wrong.
thanks for the info!

Np! Question tho - Where did you get your grill from originally? Cuz looking at the one there in the Amazon link, the space behind the logo has horizontal lines instead of the vertical zig-zags so it looks like removing the logo would look odd.

It might even look odd with the logo, I just noticed that, or would the logo cover the random horizontal
lines? if not, i might pass.

You can still see the horizontal lines up close from what i've seen.

As you can here:

ok well, i guess horizontal lines behind logo is still better then the water fall grill.

I found this one, seems to be solid plastic backing vs the horizontal amazon grill i posted.
