Oh man. I wouldn't take my car up there in the snow. I had a chick drive me 2weeks ago. Snow chains weren't required.

I was alright, sitting in the cold wasnt that great lol. Im not sure how much the tire chain costs since I'm using my parents suv to do my snow trips now. Also, I wouldn't recommend driving your lowered car. Have fun and stay safe!

Since this is your first time seeing snow, I highly suggest you rent an SUV. Trust me, driving a lower car that you baby through the snow is no fun.

In addition, get snow chain/cables ahead of time. Its much cheaper this way and i suggest you practice putting on the chains. It is not easy to put on chains if you have never done it before, and its even worst when you have to do it in freezing temperatures with very thin gloves (its really hard to put them on using thick gloves). In addition, if you do a bad job of putting on the chains, they'll fall off in 10 ft and you'll have to start all over again.

Make sure the chains you get don't damage your rims!!
