So I've never been a fan of my base model grey interior. It just didn't flow well with the black leather. I had though about having it painted piano black, or replace it with genuine CF, but for the time being the CF vinyl was a quicker and cheaper alternative.
I used the 3M 1080 Gloss Carbon Fiber Vinyl. I'm quite impressed with the look of it. Not too "fake" looking, though I know it looks completely different from genuine CF, it is still better than the matte vinyl.
^Old, boring, interior
^Disassembled and ready for wrapping
^Getting ready to cut it all out
^Looking pretty good
^Much nicer than the boring grey
^The glossy finish is nice looking
^As everyone says, this piece was a bit tricky around the shift gate, but with enough patience it wasn't an issue.
I just took some better pics of the completed pieces... my battery packs for my lighting were charging last night so I couldn't get very many photos in the dark garage. Don't mind the dirty floor mats.
^dramatic lighting looks pretty sweet with CF
I'm very happy with it, hopefully it'll last a while, and the good news is it is removable if I decide I want to change it up.
So far so good for the first (of hopefully many) Winter projects.
