Default 06 Lexus IS250 plastic engine cover rivets removing

Hi all, I am a new member of this club. I need your help on how to remove those rivets, I have no idea because my car's rivets are unlike any other one. By the way, I am trying to instal the Cold Air Intake, any suggestions for the best brand CAI? Thanks for your replying.

just pull up and off if theres a button on them push them all the way in and pull off. Those rivets will be alittle hard to pull off so your going to have resistance just use a little elbow grease :]

Those look like similar to the rivets that are used to secure your trunk liner, not sure how they ended up in your engine bay. Anyway, the way you remove them is to just pull hard. That's it.

Those aren't the original fasteners. Go online to eBay and buy these:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/221060707836...84.m1439.l2649

For less than $5 you'll have 30 clips for future use. Problem solved.

I've been rolling around without the plastic pieces under my hood for about a week cause all my rivets got lost or broke.

I'm going to order some of these right now. Thanks.

You'll need one of these:

Amazon Amazon

Which by the way.. there is NO excuse for every single person on here to own one if you do anything to your car. Quit trying to pull those pins out with flat head screw drivers.
