Many Questions??
This is my first post so I thank you for all the advice in advance.
I am going to purchase a 2009/2010 IS 250 AWD in the next 30 days.
1) Is CPO worth it? The reason I ask is most cars are still under Bumper to Bumper and Drivetrain? Unless I am missing something if the car is purchased with low miles CPO only benefits mileage and not longevity?
2) Price? A 2009 with NAV/HID/parking sensors is 35k and asking $26,000 not CPO. Thoughts?
3) When purchasing anything in particular to be looking for? I have not purchased a car in awhile. I drive them till there are beat.
All help will be very appreciated.
Thanks Again

My wife and I just picked up our first Lexus on CPO last week. I don't usually go for used cars but the CPO offered us enough piece of mind that it was worth the extra money. When I started to consider this vehicle I absolutely combed this entire forum for any potential problems that would develop and I was pleasantly surprised that they are not very common. There is a sticky dedicated to information about buying used at the top of this forum. I wouldn't rule out RWD unless you are dead set on the AWD. It may save you a couple bucks and opens up more variety of wheels. The best advice is to shop around and be frugal. Inspect all cars you are interested in. I spent almost 2 hours on the dealer's lot just playing with the car, checking brakes, windows, lights, tires, everything. All CPOs should have carfaxs as well. Good luck!
Ps : that post will be listed under a FAQ sticky
