Default go to dealer for 30k service?

Just wanted to get your guy's opinion about taking my car to the dealer for a 30k service. I know they'll change the oil, brake fluid, cabin filter and hopefully clean my F Sport air filter. But all this stuff I can do myself... Would you guys take it in just to have the major service done for records or opt out and do it yourself or at another shop?

Hell no, there is no such thing. Find a good independent mechanic for major things. 30k u do it. 60k have ur mech do the plugs & brk fluid.

Nope! Never take your car in to the dealer for these interval services. At 30k, you just need to change your oil (assuming that you're following either the 5k or 10k interval), change cabin filter (easy DIY), and clean F-sport filter (another easy DIY).

If you're not planning to keep it for its lifetime, you should at least get the oil changed and brake fluid (if you want) just to have service record. Just don't don't get the 30k service.

I had the dealer do the break and oil change. I did everything else myself. Frankly, I could have done the oil change myself but there was a good deal with the brake fluid.
