I was rear ended about a year ago, the woman was messing with her ipod and hit me sitting at a stop light around 50... although my car was not near this bad, me airbags did not diploy either. My first instinct was WTH??? These things dont work... but I was told that a rear collision dosent diploy the! She was in an older Malibu, and more less went under me...

Praying for you man. sorry to hear about your loss.

I clipped a car that was parked in the carpool lane in the middle of the night with no lights on. My car got stuck in the next lane when we were then struck. I was trying so hard to move the car back into the carpool lane but it wouldnt ****ing move. I dont understand it. I was hitting the gas but the engine would not rev at all but the car was idling.

Whatever you do, do not blame yourself for this! My prayers are with you, your family, and hers during this difficult time.

In a rear collision, the airbags wont help much. Thats what the headrests are for. They will stop your head from whipping back when the car lunges forward.

To the OP, sorry or your loss.
