Default Ebay phillips lights...real or fake?

I went ahead and picked them up just so we could see what they really looked like. 100 bucks

You tell me - are these knock off's?

Good looking out DaveGS4. Didn't know the fakes were almost identical replicas.

Hopefully the OP can post pics of the light bulbs he actually got. Hopefully, they are not fake.

The pics I took in the first post are the ones I actually got.

I figured I'd go ahead and take one for the team, just to verify it.

So what do you think, are they real or fake dave? the top and bottom glass tips look like real ones. In one picture it says real has the red thing in them, in the other the fake has the red thing..

I did notice a TINY TINY red dot in the ebay ones I got, but nothing like what is pictured above.

I'm no expert but I'd say fake. Look at the finish of the blue insulator tube in real vs fake, yours looks spot on like the fake one

What does the bottom fastener look like?

Fake even the lettering on the box is off from the real deal one. D4s don't have red salt in the middle only d2 do. You can compare them to your factory bulb and it should be the same built look.

If they work like they should and look like the real ones, so what? Every Megan product on the market is a copy/ fake or a higher quality unit on the market.

Install them, post pics, and give your impressions!

Yeah, that was my goal, more to just really investigate if they are real or not. I don't care about the 100 bucks.

So far they look good. I'm not sure if I really like the 6000k though.

I might get the real ones in 5000k

Do you have pictures of the bottom plug? I would say fake too based on the blue insulator. But I have to say that it's a pretty convincing replica...

I manage to find the photos. Yes, to confirm, J3ffrey's one's are fake looking at the box photo in comparison to the genuine ones shown which I have.

Note, on the last picture. Old box style is on the left, new/current box style is on the right.
