Default Just added another Smart Card key to the car (DIY instructions included)

Hi all, I recently picked up a 2006 IS350, however the seller only had one remote to the car.
So I ordered two additional new Smart Card key to register to the car through the use of the "aftermarket" M-VCI cable.

Please keep in mind, there is no way to program used keys/cards without additional expensive hardware/software.
So these steps only work for brand new never been programmed cards/keys.

:: DISCLAIMER ::
These instructions are provided as a reference for you to refer to adding additional remotes to the car.
These procedures worked on my vehicle, however your miles may vary, therefore, I am, in no way, responsible for any damages caused in the process.
Please do not continue reading if you do not agree!

Stuffs you will need:
(1) - NEW, never programmed , Smart Card Key (parts # 89904-50641)
(1) - 32-bit Windows XP/7 laptop with Toyota Techstream installed
(1) - M-VCI USB to ODBII Cable with 32-bit drivers installed
(1) - Original programmed remote for the procedures

This is how a brand new, never programmed, found on eBay.

Nice! I keep this thread in mind in case I need to program additional keys. I bought the software/hardware a while ago for the personalization settings.

Very nice write up! Now I need to get one of these for my TPMS and extra key. Thanks Sutekidane!

Now someone needs to do a write up on the TPMS programming...although I don't think it will be that hard.

You can find and download the software. After that you can buy a subscription or find out how to get a free key. Search the Toyota Tundra forums. Finally you need the cable.

Or buy the kit from China mentioned in the other thread.

I bought a programmer just like that from Shenzhen, too, but the programming procedures are not as intuitive as it sounds, as timing is really, really critical. Plus, the idea of erasing all keys from the system to begin the process is rather risky with an aftermarket device without any support. Let's say what if it something happens in the process and you are stranded without ANY keys at all to start the car with? Not to sound like a hypocrite, but I understand that the M-VCI cable is also an aftermarket device without any tech-support, but it has been proven that it works, albeit slow, but I rather have an official GUI interface telling me what's going on rather than with a LED blinking telling me to look it up on the spec-sheet.
