Default Center console/arm rest removal

Anyone have any suggestions on how to remove the arm rest / box in the 2IS? The center console around the shifter gate comes out with no issues, and plenty of documents regarding how to do it.. but I honestly cant find anything on the forum on how to remove the armrest area. I got into the 'hidden door' but it's covered with plastic and I dont see any obvious way to unscrew it from there, either. Any help would be greatly appreciated (I need to remove it to run a cable)

Don't know if this helps, but it does give you pictures of the brackets for the arm rest :

Much appreciation. Gives me a better perspective at least. I am surprised how difficult lexus made the center console to remove, given the simplicity of the rest of the dash area!

Anyone switched the 2011+ center console/arm rest lid to an older IS? I noticed the material on the 2011 IS250 feels a lot nicer to rest your arm on then the one in my 2007

I tried to take it off once. I think it was:

Two screws in the back ashtray (hard to reach).
Two underneath the hidden cover (need to take cover off with a flathead with some force).
Two in front by the radio. Didn't know how to take the right side screw off, so I put it all back LOL. It have clips so you pull the whole armrest towards you.

I removed my centre console to wrap the panels in alcantara. That thread should help hopefully.
