Default Traded in my 2009 IS 250 for an Audi A6

Yep, I traded in my 2009 IS 250 with 39,600 miles for $21,250, and bought a new 2012 Audi A6 2.0T (FWD CVT) for invoice price and they have a $1,500 conquest rebate. So I guess it is time to say good bye to Club Lexus.

Awesome.
But I'd rather get a Hyundai Genesis.

No worries! I don't keep my cars long. The Lexus for 3.25 years. Came out at about $3,500/yr in depreciation. I did originally finance the Lexus, and I might have come out a little better than leasing. Maybe I should crunch the numbers...

Still, the depreciation is pretty high compared to an older car,

- but I don't have to pay for the major maintenance items like spark plug changes which come later on after 60k miles. I think I spent a total of $300 on DIY oil changes, air filters and one brake fluid change on the Lexus.

For the Audi, I did buy the $820 AudiCare pre-paid maintenance up to 45k miles because it requires one spark plug change and ATF change at only 35k miles!, and two brake fluid changes.

- I have no repair bills because of the new car warranty, nor do I have to pay the $1,500 or whatever for an extended warranty. But yeah, on the Audi I am a bit afraid to keep it after the 4yr/50k warranty is up. I don't even think Audi has an official extended warranty program, and the third-party ones sound like a headache.
