Unfortunately yes I hope that I somehow get it sooner than a few haha... But yeah I'm not sure if I regret bringing it to this dealer if I knew they were this backed up to begin with. I might of had better luck bringing it to Longo Lexus or something.

Unhappy rough idle

Hello everyone, so I just bought an 07 is250 and has this rough idle when its in parking or at the stoplight, im asumming it could be the same you all are taking about, since I replaced the spark plugs but still the same isue, dealer is the only solution?
I dont know if I have any kind of warranty, car has 141 350 miles

Warranty on carbon issue is 9 years unlimited miles if i'm not mistaken.

Carbon isue is messing up with my idle right?
Ill try to find a lexus dealer around , hope they give me good news

NQR89, who was the SA at Cerritos that helped you? Keyes and Glendale Lexus are too retarded for me to waste my time. Did your car ever throw a CEL regarding the misfire?

I didn't take it to Cerritos. The guys at Keyes were the only ones that ever helped me with my car. I only recommended Longo Lexus to you because I've heard of other members having good experiences there. Yes, my car threw CEL lights several times showing misfire and also during the time that I took my car in, it had the light on.

I agree, take the car to Longo Lexus otherwise. Speak to SA Jimmy Thach and tell him your from Clublexus! He will take care of you. He always takes care of me for all the services on my IS250, including the Carbon Build up issues

took my car into the dealership and they confirmed that i have the issue.

they ordered the parts (3 months wait list) and did a top engine cleanup while waiting for the parts to arrive.

i just dont want him to say yeah bring it in lets check it out and next thing you know he calls and to say we cant duplicate the problem and theres nothing stored in the ecu

Thanks, I even got a free Mobil 1 oil change and a tank of gas (prob because I also did the recalls)

Same here I believe the oil change is a part of the top engine clean as directed by Lexus.

Well, if there really is no data there really is nothing they can do. But if they find anything at all they can use, in my experience, Longo Lexus will push to get the fix for you. At least that is what happened in my case. It's up in the air though, if there really is 0 data to support the claim, they can't do anything...there's set rules by corporate for claiming under the CSP at this time.

think thats a good enough reason for them to open that sucker up and see whats up w/ it?

doesnt happen all the time but when it did happen last time (few days ago) i got it on video
