Default Quick question?

I took my car today around 13:00 because I saw some pink water and a oil change , I told the rep. To check for CSP since the rev. Go up and down .

It seem Lexus approved it and will take two days or less to get it fix....
WTF I have been reading some people take 3-4 weeks

I'm missing something or they won't drop the engine ?

I have a few questions.

1st: Has there been any early 2010 is250 with this carbon build up problem?

2nd: Has there been any 6 speed manuals with this problem?

3rd: concerning question 2. If so, how can you tell if you have the carbon issue?

I have a early model 2010 is250 manual with 45k

Thanks

How common is this problem in the IS250? Does it tend to develop due to mileage, or simply over time?

It appears in different situations. Some people don't experience it because they don't drive their cars "hard", others have the issues even when driving hard. I've owned my 250 since 2012, and I don't think I've had the fix done, but I haven't had to go in for the fix yet (knock on wood). I take it to at least 4k RPM twice a week, minimum, but those are just my driving habits.

My car has gone into limp once, and it has had the check engine light and vsc on for a week. It has had rough misfires in the morning and revs up and down while in D at idle. I took it in to Lexus of Omaha, and they said they found random misfires with a hard misfire on cylinder 5. However, they said there is a specific test Lexus runs to associate the CSP, and they said my car passed the test. So for now, they switched the ignition coil from 5 to 3 to see what happens next.

I'm thinking of changing the plugs and coils even though the tech who worked on my car said the plugs looked fine. Any recommendations on coils? Lexus quoted me $240 per coil, and autozone has them at $100.

Hello everyone. I have a question, I bought a lexus Is 250 2007 about a year ago. I noticed this rough idle while stoping at lights, like is about to shut off.....
Does this 9 year warranty covers only first and only owners? Or is it for every is250 owner?
Thks for your time.

It's cover all is250 owners, doesn't matter how many owners the car has been threw. Probably the only cars they won't cover are salvage.

I am the third owner of my 2008 IS250 and have taken it into the dealership three times for TSB recalls and have gotten my car serviced no problem they even filled up my tank each time all free of charge.
Go to Lexus Driver's website https://secure.drivers.lexus.com/lex...xus/home.doand register your car. Checkout the service history on your car. You will need your vin#. The owner before me had the engine rebuild service done 2,000 miles before I got the car last March.

I had the same issues as the Carbon Buildup TSB, surging RPM's at stoplights, rough idle at start up then it would clear up on its own and it even died a few times after start. This only happen 4 or 5 times over 3-4 months but I was taking the car to Lexus for an oil change and I thought I would have them investigate the issue at the same time. I assumed it was going to be the carbon issue, turned out to be a bad fuel pump. Immediately after I picked up the car I noticed the car idles much lower at stop lights. Before the fix it would always idle around 1-1250 RPM's at stop lights and now it's around 750 cold and just over 500 when its warm. All covered under CPO warranty, but out of warranty the advisor told me it would have been $534 for Lexus to replace the fuel pump.

The warranty covers 9 years from the manufacture year of the car. And it only covers vehicles from 2006 threw certain 2010.

Example. If you bought a 2008 is250, you will be covered till 2017. This is only for the carbon build up tsb.
