Has anyone tired this before in their car? I heard its good for the engine if you add some when you fill up your gas tank and also it cleans out you rcrank case if you add some before you get an oil change. Any input?

Did this on my TL and it worked great! cleaned out all the gunk and gave me better mpg's for sure

Just done it this past weekend. Put 1/4 in the vacuum line and the rest into the fuel tank.

How did you get it into your vacume line? And what does it do?

the vac lines suck it up since its a vacuum.

it sprays itself into your manifold and goes in your valves and pistons and cleans off carbon/sludge buildup

Just let the engine suck the fluid slowly and let the car sit for awhile, poor in the remainder of sea foam into the gas tank. Restart the engine and enjoy the smoke show! I would run this stuff on those 250 with carbon build-up.

Performed this on my Jeep Wrangler when it did not pass the smog check....now passed with flying colors?

Do I have to get an oil change right after I do this or can I do this and run my car normally. I my next oil change is in 4k miles.

so turn the car on unplug the vac line spray in seafoam plug back in the vac line then pur the rest in the gas tank correct?

I have not done this on the IS but make sure its a vacum line after the Air Flow senson as close as possible the the throttle body. The engine will start sucking in the fluid if you buy the sea foam bottle/can. You can get it a a spray can form too but i prefer the bottle so you can dump about half of the can into the gas tank.

Had the Seafoam treatment done on my car but not via the vacuum line, it was done together with the spark plugs change since you have to remove the intake to do that. The suggestion is to replace the oil and spark plugs after and you also have to reset the engine codes that will pop up afterwards.

there is no spray nozzle as far as i know

1. pour 1/3 pint of the seafoam into a measuring cup
2. plug a funnel on the other end of the vacuum line
3. slowly pour the 1/3 pint of seafoam into the funnel while your helper is accelerating at 2k RPMs
4. pour the rest into the fuel tank
5. put everything back together
6. ignition off
7. wait 10min
8. ignition on
9. smoke show

Better then seafoam and about the same price

Mopar Combustion Chamber Cleaner...

and apply into throttle body like so, let it sit for a couple of hours and start the motor, like so::


that should clean things out
