Default HID bulbs....d4s or d4r

what is the diffference between d4s and d4r replacement bulbs ? I have an '06 IS350. Which of these do I need? Thanks for your help.

You need D4S. Don't know either what is the difference of these 2 type ^^!

how do i know its the bulb and not the ballast?

bulb turns on every 4-5 days. been driving on one headlight like a chump recently

I'm thinking you can swap the 2 and see if they work or not to find out whether it's bulb or ballast, try it out!

D4S bulbs for projector type headlights (ours) and D4R for reflector type headlights. Same logic applies for D1, D2,D3 bulbs etc.

You need D4S or D4C. D4R are for reflector-type headlights as stated.

No, all 2IS models have projectors whether they have halogen or HID.

There are various ways to tell what you have from the factory, the best way to know for sure if you have OE HID is to look at your bulb.
