Default Dashboard edge CHIPPED

Just got my second hand IS300 ( yes 300 , I am in Dubai. it is the UAE version) 2007 yesterday. great car mechanically and body wise. yet there is a problem of the dashboard hard edge being chipped ( for some reason...!!!) it is really irritating as I see it whenever I enter the car.... I am sure you will have some ideas - other than changing the dashboard.

actually one of the reasons I bought a (Lexus IS) is this forum.......I will appreciate any feedback.

I got the same problem bro...still looking for a solid solution. There's a person on this forum that put a leather adhesive strip over the edge and sprayed plasti-dip over it.

there is no way a dashboard chips itself. Thats literally impossible. Someone or something had to be picking at it...................not sure if youre giving the full story. Looks like someone did some audio work and wasnt too careful. Bummer though.

I had mine chipped about half a dime sized caused by the dealership replacing my nav ecu unit. They had Kennedy @ Platinum VIP (I believe that's how you spell their name) fix it and it looks great.

Give the guy a break, he said he picked up the used car yesterday, and this is how it was. This can be fixed, but will be visible unless the dash is replaced.

Looks like someone who owned the car before had the navigation removed during its life sometime. Whoever did it wasn't being careful at all by the looks of it. That looks terrible. I'm guessing the previous owner did it himself because If i got my car back from a shop looking like that I would make them replace that entire dash!!!
