Angry '11 IS250 Non-Nav iPod rant

does anyone else have an issue with the automatic selection of songs, playlists, artist..if you leave your radio unattended for more than 3 seconds??? this is very annoying!! is there anyway you can set it to where you have to select or accept prior to the head unit automatically selecting where you briefly pause or any other suggestions/solution??

TIA

-Jeff

I havent had any problems like that. You should take it in to the dealer so they can check it out

thanks for the input bob. i assume you dont have the issue where your head unit automatically selects a song if you pause briefly? are you supposed to be able to select the song before it plays or does it automatically play the song you stop on? sorry if i confuse you. thanks again for you input.

Ive had two different issues with my radio, but nothing like that.

The unit is supposed to stay paused if you stop a song and continue when you hit play. I dont think Ive ever experienced something like this.

Ive had my CD player keep trying to eject a cd when there wasnt one in there but it seemed to have fixed itself. My other problem was that I couldnt hear any volume and it ended up being my amp that died.

If you are under warranty go ahead and take it to the dealer

i guess to clear it up a bit, when i press MENU/ENTER at the 1st menu then press MENU/ENTER again at the PLAYLIST menu and use the arrows buttons to choose PLAYLIST, SONG, ARTIST... it selects the song automatically as soon as i stop pressing the arrow buttons. in order for it to NOT select a certain song, playlist, artist, i have to continue to hit the arrows until i find my selection. i find this annoying. id prefer an ACCEPT or OK versus an automatic selection.

i called my local dealer and left a message, we will see how far i get. id like to describe it over the phone before i take it to the dealer.

*i am under warranty (20,xxx miles)

Ive never used the playlist menu on the non nav radio so I cant really comment on it. Since your under warranty, Im sure the dealer will take care of it

My 2010 Non-Nav functioned the same way when controlling the iPod.
