Hi guys,

Thats way too much! Take it to someone else. To repair that lip 100-150 bucks, To powder coat 250-300 not sure how difficult it is to split the wheels but if its unbolting and rebolting 100-200 I would say is fair price for the amount of work. Negoiate with him, think about it he is profitting 1250 from you for just 2-4 hours worth of work if that.

If it was me I would just repair the wheel and be done with it. Your car looks dead sexy already(!) and once you paint them it's not easy to revert back.
My wife is a terrible driver and enjoys curb-rash, but she chipped a rim not too long ago and I didn't think it was worth fixing. But the quotes I got were all around $200 or so.
So that quote you got is crazy. I know your wheels may take more work but banging out a dent shouldn't be more than $300 tops. I would just stop there.
Or if you want some wheel bling...get your calipers powder-coated instead. That would pop and really show off the rims more. Yellow, red, bronze...all would look killer IMO.

it depends on your mood! for show car status I think : gold would look so nice! not a matte gold but like a glossy shiny gold! Just on the spokes!
For everyday, not really showy but classy, maybe black chrome? they look really nice!
Bronze is good too but I would go for gold than bronze!
