Any drop in voltage can affect electronics, requiring a reboot. My theory!

Well unplug your power wire and hide it in the engine bay. Then take out the sub and amp just to be safe at the dealer. You cant go wrong with warranty!! Maybe a new headunit is needed. Maybe time for a new Nav lol

Yeah I'm going to do that tomorrow. And I don't have nav, which is why I just bought a fly audio unit and this happens before it gets here...

I just unplugged my battery and that didn't work. Anyone else have any idea before I take it to the dealer on Saturday?

Just got back from the dealer. Turns out it was the factory amp that went out. Before I took it in, I removed my sub and amp from the trunk just in case. The SA asked me if I had an amp back there an I said yeah. He told me that it was just the factory amp that died so he would order me a new one. He mentioned nothing about price, so I'm assuming it's not going to cost me anything.

They're going to cal me next week when it comes in so hopefully I can get this fixed soon. Thanks for all your input guys

Factory AMP has a fail safe in it that cuts all Audio in case of a short. Seen about a dozen of those. Oh, and we always know when owners try to hide/change stuff for warranty purposes

Its amp. If u have spliced wires going into amp usually they dont warranty it then

Would me having an aftermarket amp and sub affect my warranty for the stock amp? The SA never mentioned price, but he didn't say specifically it was covered under warranty

Well I don't know how amps/subs are installed so idk if any wires were splice or not.

For a dealer to place an order for something such as an amplifier, they would want you to pay at least a deposit up front. As they didn't request a payment, I'd suspect it's being replaced under warranty. You can always call the dealer and ask.

Yeah that's true. They're going to call me when it comes in. Would they try and charge me for labor to swap out the amp? I'm concerned since he didn't mention it

the dealer has to prove that your aftermarket amp is the reason your stock one failed. If they have no proof they cant blame it on that then

My radio has been working just fine for the past 4 days, since I removed my aftermarket amp and sub. Is this just a coincidence?
