2013 IS info, official
I don't put a lot of faith in Motor Trend, but for the last two years, they've been first out with next year's changes. Keep in mind this is still Motor Trend, and this is NOT the 3IS. (If any of this has already been covered, moderators please delete.)
"Lexus has dropped the manual transmission, presumably in the advance of the model's much needed makeover for 2014. The navigation and Lexus telematics software has been reworked. IS convertibles gain an F-Sport package and red interior option (wasn't this already available?), while the IS F springs for scratch-resistant clearcoat paint and more responsive suspension. An IS 250 Special Edition is new."
Hadn't heard about any of these changes, and the scratch-resistant paint sounds interesting. Hope that filters across the line.

It will have the same set-up as the new GS. In drive the paddles act as gear limiters, but in S they will act as a real tiptronic

Again: This thread is NOT about the 3IS. There is a thread for 3IS information, but this isn't it, lol. Who knows the manual transmission could be back for the 3IS, but it's now gone from the 2IS.
