Thanks for the update that was a life safer lol ......... I unzip the C8018LI_US_EU_PRIMA_V1.28.0 and inside you find a D2280 file. Next, I place the update and the D2280 on the SD card. I placed the SD the radio and turn it on. You have go to the settings and click on the update option. It’s going to take you to the windows desktop. You have to click on my device and then you have to find a file called static storage. There you see a D2280 old file you have to delete it. The next step is you have to go back and find a SD storage file and click on. You have to find the new D2280 that you copied from your computer to the SD card. You have to copy the file and go back to the static storage file and paste it where the old D2280 was located. Finally, click the new D2280 file and find a file called manager.exe and click it. The radio will return back to normal.
EDIT: I followed the instructions a few pages back on how to change the temp/radio fixes and was able to get into the windows desktop in the navi unit. I found the old D2280 file and copied it to the SD card and then removed the SD card and put it in my computer to back up the file. Now I will move on to apply this fix and see if it works. I hope it fixes my GPS!

Ok another update, sorry to blow this thread up but thought I'd post my experiences so it will help others. So regarding this error message, I kept clicking "yes' I believe and it would kick me out of the update back to the file screen. When I hit the manager.exe file and it took me back to the navi main screen the whole screen was messed up. The fonts were messed up and it looked like I got some kind of virus. I did this maybe 3x then realized I should hit "no" to actually continue the D2280 file update and it then kept the old "tahoma_1_08 file which is the system fonts and processed the rest of the updates. After hitting the manager.exe file it took me back to the main navi screen and everything works great! I will test out the temp fix now and then try to get this damn gps receiver working.
Honestly, next time I will buy a car with navi!!! lol

Ok, so just tried the fix MNLexus250 posted and it works, but some issues. Was wondering if anyone has the same experiences.
1) Radio Frequencies - This has been fixed and is working. No problems here
2) Temperature (C -> F) - This works after i apply the fix. [b] the problem is once i restart the car, it reverts back to C. I have to manually double click the "manager" file in order to change it back to F. Are others experiencing the same?
3) Navigation - Gave an error message that the path could not be located. the fix to this problem is to go to menu -> options -> settings, then on the bottom, you have to select your navigation file path. Mine was the "PRIMO" file in the root of the SD card. After setting this up, the navigation was working again
So my main issue is with the temperature fix resetting after restarting the car. Are others experiencing the same?

So my navi won't work whatsoever. It keeps reading "auto detecting GPS satellites" and I click into that screen and it shows 0 satellites available. Does anyone know what might be the cause? I went into the system files for Primo and it shows port & baud set to "auto". I'm researching that I might have to change this to whatever the port/baud #'s are for this device. Can anyone please post their #;s so I can try those. This is the main reason I bought the unit was for navi! Very frustrating here....

I'll PM you about the temperature fix.
My config has these settings -- I'm not sure if it's specific to a particular unit:
[gps]
baud="57600"
gpstime="1373553386"
last_gps_date="2013.07.11."
last_gps_time="02:28:24.000"
port="1"
My unit was completely new without anything scratched out or removed. Does the sticker said "Turn up" or torn up?

LSQ navi
Hello All,
I received my unit last week, but was out of town. So will be installing my unit tomorrow. I see that "JC08IS250" has had some issue with his unit (GPS lock, backup camera, etc.). I will test mine out tomorrow and post my findings here.
BTW unit has the same stickers. Also I am making a backup of my GPS micro SD card. Let me know if anyone needs it.

Got the gps/navi working! Now this unit is well worth the $$$!
If anyone is having a hard time locating satellites set your port to 1 and baudrate to 4800. That could be the gps settings for this china unit. Mine was set to auto which my unit didn't like very much.
Last piece I am having a hell of a time doing is the 09 ac vent. The damn thing won't fit right and I've sawed off an inch or more from the back! On the old vent I have 2 plugs that go into the vent but on this 09 vent there is only 1. Does anyone know which one I use and what are these for anyways? Thanks!

So I trimmed off a good portion of the vent outlet tubes and it fits much better than before. There is a gap still on the top and somewhat on the bottom as well. I will trim maybe a few more mm's but thats it. I'm tired of this so it will just have to do.
The navi install wasn't as bad as I thought but this vent trimming sucks, makes me wish I bought a 2009! lol

Been looking into this NAV and haven't seen any mention of 2013. Anybody know if it's been mentioned as being compatible?
The vendor sites seems to say 2011. I thought the 2012 and 2013 were the same?

How would I go about getting the most recent Primo maps, say for 2013? I tried to register at ************** last week and still waiting for confirmation to be able to post on their site.
