I wanted to get a 3m clear bra done, but 1) they cost a arm and a ******** when you have on a lip kit they have to do custom work to cut it and so on 2) I notice they yellow after time. I got a 12 hour trip ahead of me tomm which was what provoked me to do this today.

you're also in cali. Shops out there that do that kind of work are everywhere so its pretty cheap and competitive. Its hard to find any here. I need to ship my car out to cali for a week and get a full make over.

Not all bras yellow over time. And you are driving a new Lexus... a clear bra costs a lot??? Interesting. The bluie tape looks terrible in my opinion and you need to protect your vehicle all the time... not just on road trips. Not to mention the headlights are not covered... and once they start getting pitted they will begin to oxydize.

Lol i hope u know the blue tape isn't somethin ppl keep on, on a daily basis. Ppl put them on usually for the track, or road trips. And yes i do protect my car at all times but i really don't do much highway driving. And I got 500-700 quotes on what I wanted covered with the clear bra on my area. Not an investment I've really wanted to make. And most clear bras I've seen turn yellow over time.

I too had the 3M clear bra installed on the entire front of my 2012 Is-bumper,lights, hood, side mirrors, door edges and underneath the door handles to protect the paint from my wife's ring from scratching it. I also did the exact same thing to my wife's 2011 FJ Cruiser and so far it has worked great- no chips. I paid $700 per vehicle-not cheap but well worth it if you keep your vehicles for any length of time.
