Turned on the car on sunday and couldn't hit I agree
No touch at all.
2006 IS350 with 58k miles.
Followed this guide:

Here are pics I took along the way. I wish I would have taken video of the entire process, however it was 110 Degrees outside and I just wanted to get this thing out of the car and in the house.

It IS a headache, I had to do this to my car as well and it recently stopped working again, luckily I had updated the nav disc and no longer have to press agree. Right now I turn on my AC through auto till I find some spare time.
Btw how did your gun help in this situation??

Just kidding, I actually didn't see it was in the pictures until I was uploading. I usually keep it in my car and bring it inside with me. Usually I also go right to the room and drop it on the nightstand. I guess I set it down and just went straight to work on putting it back together
I finished it up today and took the pics. I had actually done all the work yesterday and let the ink (conductive gel/ink) dry.

I think the navi on toyota/lexus cars are the best out there. I have yet to find one that works better. But with googlemaps on phones and stuff, all a navi screen is good for is watching DVDs these days. LOL
