Default mark levinson stereo

I have a 06 lexus is350 with the mark levinson set up. If i put the volume past 34 the volume shuts off, turns on again. It does this repeatedly. If i set the speakers up to where it only comes out through the back, then it works good and i can turn it up to max without it shutting off. Does anybody know what it can be?

I heard that though the ML sounds good, it's unreliable and just breaks after a while.

either the ML amp is overheating and shutting down before any physical damage can be done to the amp, or there's a short in the amp itself.

i also heard that the crescent of the moon is based on the alignment of the earth and the sun, but the moon itself is made of crusty gray cheese.

fact is, there hasn't been widespread ML amps failing and needing replacement. but if you're the type that requires volume to always be past 40, something's bound to break sooner or later...

x2 on the amp probably being the issue. If all your speakers cut off past that volume, i'm almost certain its the amp.

Yep, sounds like the amp going into safe mode, usually from overheating. Time for a new amp!
