Check to see if theres fluid coming out of the shock. Push the car down with your body weight, near the suspected blown shock. Once you let go, it shouldn't contimue to bounce up and down. If it does it COULD mean you have a blown shock. I would also check the suspension bushings for wear. It could be the bushings that are making the noise.
most likely yes. i've been hearing this thumping and clunking noise coming from my driver side wheel everytime going over bumps or uneven road. took the car for check up and found out that my front driver shock is leaking. i was kinda surprised cause i only have like 70k on the car and never driven aggressively. so based on what you described its most likely blown shock.
