Illuminated door sills
Hey CL members I wanted to ask has someone bought and installed these door sills? If so is there a DIY? Reason why I ask Is that The Lexus delarship in Raleigh nc messed up my headlights by putting the wrong year. Before I had 2011 headlights with the white led strip but there was that defect problem and they swap it for new 2012 with the blue Led strips. But one of my lights has moisture inside so they replaced it but the put the 2011 again by accident. So I have a 2012 on my driver and 2011 on my passenger side (you can clearly see the difference). So they are replacing it back with a 2012 and giving me a 250 credit for the amount of driving and time being wasted. Also I'm hoping they will match sewell Lexus price on the door sills or I'm screwed there asking 487.35 when Sewell is asking 240.80. Let me know what you guys think and it anyone has the illuminated door sills for there is250

There's tons of people here that have the illuminated door sills. It depends on what model year and package your car is... I believe that they're simply plug and play for 2006-2009 models with the SPORTS PACKAGE.
Anything else you need to do some wire splicing.. that includes 2010+ models with ANY PACKAGE.
But they look freaaaakin awesome. =)

ricky, what's the interior and paint of your is, and we'll be able to steer you in the right direction - i think it does matter personally, black could pair with blue, ecru/cashmere/etc, i'd recommend white.
they are plug and play for anything after 07 and up until 2010 if i'm not mistaken. 06, 11, and 12 are not plug and play. packages should not matter on 07-11s.

I'll tell you a easier way to tell if yours are plug and play .... Just pop your door sill off and if you see the white plug then you are pnp, is not then get the splices ready. This method is faster then waiting for a answer on here. Takes all of 30 sec in your driveway

My 2010 with Sports Package was plug and play.

Probably going off of what Sewell saids from what ISPanda is referring to.
Just to add on top, I do have speculations that for the Canada F-Sport 11+ cars maybe plug and play because they have a subset of luxury features (ie. memory seats, auto-tilt/reverse mirrors, power tilt and telescopic steering column and rain sensor). which is typically seen in cars with a a luxury package on top in comparison to the US F-Sport cars which do not have this. My suspicion is that it has the it may have the correct harness which connects to the ILE1 of the body ECU which allows the the door sills to be plug and play.

Package didn't matter for 07-09, to be clear. It did for 06 (and maybe 10?)... you can put em on any year/package though, it'll just require a little wiring for the non PnP ones.
Get white, the blue looks ricer to me.
And good luck getting Johnson Lexus to match sewell, they've refused every time I've asked, even when I was clear I'd buy it right then from them and otherwise would just buy from sewell. They outright told me go buy it elsewhere.
Apparently they don't like money.

I haven't got them to match it yet , they ****ed up my headlights making me drive an hour and half and hour and half back. In one week I racked up almost 563 miles within one week. That's why there service manager is giving me a 250 credit for there mess up. I showed the service manager a picture of how much it cost to buy it from Sewell do we will see what she can do.
