High pitch noise coming from iphone when connected to aux and charging
Hi CL, I have a 2008 IS250 AWD and I've notice that when i plug my iphone in to charge and have the aux in at the same time, there will be a high pitch noise coming from the speakers. I've found out that its a TSIB, but i've already passed my regular warranty so I'm not covered for it. I was wondering if anyone knew how much this was to fix maybe at a private auto shop or at the dealer? Thanks for all the help!!

TSIB is a technical service information bulletin, basically a description of how to fix a specific problem a customer might report- fix is free under warranty.
If out of warranty the parts from Lexus are here:
http://is.sewellparts.com/accessorie...2008/5403.html
$145 club lexus price... and a dealer will hit you for at least another $110-220 for labor.
A lot cheaper (though less clean/pretty) will be to just buy an external ground loop isolator from amazon- something like this:
It'll be a klunky box that sits in the center console, but it'll do the same thing the nice clean internal fix from Lexus does
that was just the first one I found on amazon BTW, I'd encourage folks to take a few minutes to compare the various ones offered, read the reviews, etc before picking one out... but they all should be in the 10-25 buck range.

I was having the same problem with my IS250. I'm pretty sure its all lexus up to 2010. Its just some people dont charging the device while listening to music at the same time. I was feed up with it and i was going to go the sewell way until i seen the price tag and realized that somethings in life are not worth it. So I went ahead and got THIS
Solved the problem in two plugs less hassle then taking your interior apart to plug all the stuff in and under 20$ shipped to my house the next day!!! The cord is high quality like a nylon finish and which means it will last over the regular crap aux
