Default Blown front speaker (Mark Levinson)

Sounds like I have a blown front mid-range speaker, can I remove the speaker by removing the grill over it or do I have to remove the door panel?

Door panel has to come off. Hopefully somebody else will link to a previous thread or you can search for it.

I'm still not convinced that it's a blown speaker considering its just the mid-range speaker that really doesn't take a beating. I can understand the sub blowing out but not the passenger mid.

Anyone with ML experience distortion on a front speaker and it turned out to be the amp?

I'm just outside the bumper-to-bumper so all the advice I can get is helpful.
