Thinking of changing tint
Hey everyone! I got my car tinted last summer in llumar tint 35% all around. I love the look of the tint when its cloudy out or at night, but during the day its just too light. Sometimes it barely looks like its tinted when its really sunny. I am thinking of getting the car completely re-done in maybe 30% or 25% all around or even just changing the back windows and rear windshield darker in hopes that will make the fronts appear darker. I don't want to go very dark just slightly darker during the day. If it helps my car is smokey granite.
I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions or pics. Thanks!

I've been thinking exactly the same thing. I have sgm too with I think 35% front, 30% back. I'm not too sure because I bought my car already tinted. At night, the tint is great, dark with a bit of sheen. In the daytime, not so great and my grey interior doesn't help. Been thinking of getting 15% or 20% all around.

I probably stick it the way it is. Looking at your location, you're already pushing it as it is technically illegal.

Any darker you could be asking the police to pull you over because your car looks high profile. In a sense, it may not be enforced as long as the police can still see the driver through the window.

I had some medium tint on mine a while ago. I noticed my leather needed more protection and went ahead and added and extra layer of tint all around the rear. I cared more about protecting my interior and not the turn out I would have by applying tint over an existing tint. it's not 100% perfect (no significant flaws) but I am happy with the results.
Just need to be extra careful when reversing and using rear view mirror.

I have 20% all the way around and I think its perfect compromise, Dark enough that you know its tinted but light enough that cops seem to not care. I would do all windows the same IMO

Your state laws say nothing darker then 70% front and rear? I have 20% on 2 front windows and 5% on the rears and back and never get hassled and have a 75% UV clear on the front windshield with a 5% eyebrow but florida is always sunny and the cops dont seem to bother you unless your gettin stupid then they add a tint ticket to whatever.
