I was replacing my dome lights today with some leds and found this microphone in the dome compartment. I bought the car a few weeks ago with a few mods aready on it, one including an ipod hook up in the glovebox. Anyone have one of these or know what its for?



Also as far as the ipod jack goes, I can only get it to charge my devices (iphone or ipod) however I feel like it should be able to play music too.. won't work through the auxiliary input.. should I try something else or do you think its just for charging?

Haha I really doubt the FEDS are after me... but there was that one time...

Unfortunately I bought it through the dealership here so I'm not sure if they can give me that info or not. I'll try tho.

Can you determine what it is connected to? Perhaps call someone and tap on it to see if it is connected to your BT phone capabilities

Yeah now that I look at it again, it would be odd to have the microphone there, usually the mic isn't hidden like that.

So there is also a iPod jack running into the glovebox. However, I can only get the iPod to charge and not play any music... as far as bluetooth goes I'm not even sure if my car has capabilities for it. Its a non nav, so what mode would you need to be in for something like this to work?

I'll probably just try all the different modes and if nothing works I'll just cut that thing off lol
