Hi. I'm new. New IS350, starting to Mod. Regrets?

Did you order the f-sport parts from Sewell with the CL discount? If not, you likely overpaid...
You'll love the 350... I picked mine up about two months ago and love it! The only f-sport part that I have is the intake and it makes the engine sound a lot better
have fun!

-I'm wondering if I've dumped too much $ into a car that is great off of the production line.?
No such thing =) Your just making an awesome car more awesome!
-Will I notice any performance improvements?
The HP gains are there and you may notice slight improvements but it won't be anything like getting 100hp from a turbo! It will sound awesome though the F Sport equipment is vurry nice!
-I am worried that the exhaust/intake will interfere with my love of listening to music.?
Negative! Crank the music up =)
-I've seen the regrets thread. Wondering if any/all of these orders should be cancelled?
Any of the f sport stuff is well worth it! I didn't see anything on your list that should cause your any problems excpt for the pure bliss that you get everytime you see / drive your car.
-Will the replacement parts last as long as the OEM?
Yessir!
-How much are the OEM parts worth if I sell them - steering wheel, redish California Walnut wood trim, stock exhaust, stock intake, stock sways?
People do sell this stuff all the time on the classifieds here but none of it goes for very much.
Enjoy your new ride =)

I have the f sport exhaust and LOVE it. I have not ordered the f sport intake because I do not think I would be able to hear it over the exhaust. I have the steering wheel damper, but notice no difference. I think it is a benefit more so on dropped cars (mine has not been height altered).
How about some pics?

You'll notice the sway bars the most as far as providing a significant performance improvement (and IMHO they're the single best mod you can do to a 2IS)
The intake is 5 hp tops, the exhaust is about 7. Neither enough to really notice the power gains, but you'll certainly notice the sound changes (and some confuse that for performance gain)
As to your music, I have the same intake, but went with the tanabe exhaust, so my situation won't be identical, but usually at "cruising" rpms you won't notice much sound difference.... it's more when you're getting on it that it'll make noise.

Congrats on your third IS
The F-Sport is one the louder if not the loudest aftermarket axle back exhaust. You should be fine listening to music and it won't in any way overpower your speakers unless you opt for an aftermarket midpipe like Invidia.
You have done well in selecting your first mods. You will end up shelling more dough regardless of what you priotize on your car. Coilovers and wheels will be a good investment as well.
You will not get much back in selling your stock intake and exhaust. You'll be better off keeping it in storage just in case you have to revert back to stock.

Hi,
I've been a lurker for quite a while. I purchased my third IS last weekend. (First - 2003 IS300 Graphite Grey Metallic, Second - 2006 IS250MT Blue Onyx Pearl).
New (to me) - '07 IS350 w/ luxury package. TP w/ Black Perforated Interior.
It's now a week old and I've completed:
-GFX Front Lip
-Window Tint
-Calipers painted
-Aluminum sport pedals
-Perforated Shift ****
-Black Carbon Flat Bottom Sport Steering Wheel
-FX Auto Design Black Real Carbon Fiber Interior Trim Kit (ordered)
On a whim, I just ordered:
-F-sport Exhaust
-F-sport Intake
-F-sport sways (front and rear)
-Steering Damper
Questions....
-I'm wondering if I've dumped too much $ into a car that is great off of the production line.?
(I did no mods to the '03 and put the X-package on the '06)
-Will I notice any performance improvements?

I certainly love the look of all of the components and think that the car is more aesthetically pleasing, but don't want to dump $ down the drain if I can't get value out of them (long lasting, better performance, etc).
Thanks and 'Hello'.

I have installed just about everything that you have listed and I feel like it's helping the car meet it's true potential.

try posting the OEM parts on your local craigstlist. if you are lucky enough you'll find a buyer! i've spent approx 6k if not more on modding in less than a year owning my IS. sometimes i do regret spending so much on it but as what the saying goes, you gotta pay to play! after all at the end of the day you'll be much happier driving your car
