Opinions and Decisions
Haven't been on in a while as I've been out and about, on vacation, and now I officially bought my first brand new house (Not bad for being 25yrs old) and am just about to close my car accident PIP case from that New Years collision (If any of you remember).
It is likely I might get a arger settlement than my previous accident which had far less damage and only had 2 months of therapy with no ER visits or meds (unlike this one) in which I recieved a 15k settlement.
I thought if I do get this settlement within the coming year or so that I might upgrade my Lexus IS 250 AWD
Originally I bought the 250 AWD cause I couldn't yet buy the 350 AWD and the AWD was on the basis of getting to work during snow...but after our ONLY snow storm...our work was closed anyways.
My house I bought has no hills between me and my job and is a 8 minute drive so AWD isn't a blessing as it used to. So in turn I thought of upgrading it when I get my settlement to EITHER a Lexus IS-F with less than 50k miles or a used (2008 or newer) Lexus LS460 (2008 or newer) both go for same price but one is a 4.6L V8 and is the Flagship of Lexus and has a 81/100 score on Consumer guide...has more room too. Though the Lexus IS-F has a score of 60/100 but is the added 30hp really worth loosing all that comfort and luxury in the LS460?
Btw here's some pictures of the house:

I will make mention I love V8s but I love Lexus' quality/length of life. My original intent was to have this Lexus 250AWD and a brand new Mustang GT but paying 25k+ plus the added insurance and repair costs and mods I'd be tempted to do doesn't seem worth the 412hp engine...I'd rather pay an extra 10k to upgrade my lexus to a luxury-reliable-V8 car

There's no comparing the IS-F and LS460. It's beyond apples and oranges. Others' opinions won't really be of much help for this reason - it's all going to come down to what you want. Do you want a smaller, sportier, extremely quick car? Or do you want a much larger, more luxurious, non-sporty car?
I own a 350 and have owned 2 LS400s, my dad has a 430 and my grandfather a 460, each of which I've driven a lot. The 460 is obviously in a league of its own when it comes to luxury, quality of workmanship/materials/design, etc. But it's also a boat. It's absolutely huge and has no sporting or performance pretensions whatsoever. The body roll alone is crazy.
The IS on the other hand is not up to the 460's standards on luxury and quality of materials, but it shouldn't be - they're far different in price (when new) and serve entirely different customers. The IS-F is much smaller and is a performance machine, quicker than most anything on the road.
I came from two LS400s into the IS350 for a reason - I loved the LS and its luxury and ride, but I personally enjoy performance and sportiness, neither of which the LS offers. I wanted a small, quick car that still provides a high level of luxury, comfort, and reliability which is why I went with the IS.
I wouldn't put much stock in anything (including Consumer Reports) other than your own values and what you personally want.

Lol well I work 50-60hrs a week and I love comfort. I live in Washington where it rains 90% of the time so a fast car doesn't always have a chance....but we will see what happens, if I can find a blue isf for the price I want then I'm golden! Lol

If you drive your own car and don't have many family members, I would get IS-F. If you have a driver, being a high rank excutive & have a big family, buy LS. That's rationale.
For emotion, get whatever you want. Both cars are good in thier own terms.

This is all funny too as my first car was a LINCOLN LS, now I'm considering a Lexus LS....but they are worlds apart.
I am leaning more towards the LS460 as I doubt I'd be able to use all the performance the ISF offers as my state is rainy, full of traffic, noisy, and snowy....not a state worth having a performance only car....
