Default Should I get any more protection for my new IS 250?

I have inside the building my own parking space and keep the car there. Car is only equipped with factory alarm. I didnt get lojack.

Should I get anything else to protect it from stealing ? Towing from a parking space is impossible - there is limited space and no towing truck will get inside by a gate.

And I think there might be an option thieves or thief can get inside the garage to try to steal it that I want to prevent. Club? Aftermarket alarm?

I think your fine with the factory system. The 2IS isn't a common target for theft.

If you want extra piece of mind, you can always get the LoJack installed. It will cost you up front, and you'll have to have it inspected every 2 years to make sure its working right ($80 each time i believe). You'll get a bit of a discount on your insurance tho. But it may not be worth it, some people would rather just pay the $500 (or so) deductible to their insurance company and get a replacement car if their current car is stolen. And in your situation, doesn't really seem like your car would be much of a target.

I have LoJack on my other car and it's been a headache. I didn't have it inspected on the 2 year mark and it started acting up. It keeps calling me every time I move the car even though I'm sure the the remote controls have battery. I think they are designed to fail after the second year.

I wouldnt worry about someone stealing your car as much as I would be of thieves breaking into it to steal the contents inside. Parking garages are a great place for theives to check door handles or break out windows, steal anything that may be in the car of value and be onto another floor or out of the building quickly. Check to see what type of security the garage has and the quality of the cameras. check to see if the cameras pan or are in a fixed position. Maybe you can get some sort of wireless remote camera setup that you have positioned on your car in the garage.

Apply for "SOS" for your peace of mind.. but insurance should be enough.

Same here. I'm more worried about break-ins or vandalism rather than someone flat-bedding it or driving it off.

The Lexus safety subscription has a Stolen Vehicle Locator feature. You could consider that. (Not sure what is the difference between that versus Lo-jack though aside from $? )
