Default Installing concealed radar detector

I just bought an Escort Passport SRX, and the display is 4" wide by 9/16" tall by 1 3/4" deep.

Anyone have one already? Anyone have ideas where I can mount the display? Ashtray area would be ideal since it is closeable and I can hide the display...

any thoughts?

A friend of mine frenched the display lights/arrows of his V1 into his gauge cluster and had a kill switch for it under the dash. Otherwise it was wired to fused/switched power off of the cig lighter fuse. Not sure if you want to spend that much time on it, but it was not noticeable at all.

I have an Escort 9500ci and I put the display on the bottom of the gauge cluster. It fits in perfectly. Not sure how big the SRX display is by comparison but here is a pic:

Cool setup, but mine is 4" wide by 9/16" tall by 1 3/4" deep, but I need to be able to acess due to the on off and al the buttons that enable the configs! I am going to put the led in the cluster though....

Yikes!

Here are some pics of where my controls are. The dimensions are a little different from between our stuff but you may be able to make it work.
