IS 250 for $14200 -Good Buy or Not
Hi Guys,
Im interested in buying a 2006 IS 250, with about 68000 miles , the vehicle has a salvage title and the seller is willing to let it go for $14,200. The vehicles looks pretty nice and sexy but im a bit worried about the fact that the vehicle has no Bluetooth or Nav.
Any suggestions on how to upgrade to a system with both Bluetooth and Nav will be greatly appreciated ? Do you guys think its a good buy at probably 13500 - 14200?
Thanks

yikes buyer beware... remember a salvaged title means that the insurance company estimated that the cost to repair it wasn't worth the end-value of the car so they paid off the original owner and then auctioned off the damaged vehicle. You can paint a turd with gold paint but it's still a turd.

def not worth 14! If the repairs were done correctly and not hacked it is ok for a salvaged/REBUILT Make sure it is a rebuilt and has gone through the DMV inspection. You do not want to buy a salvage title vehicle that hasnt been inspected. But if it was clean that cars worth 7-9,000 max

Thanks for the grate comment guys, unfortunately /fortunately , I was really eager, took the bait and bought it . I ended up paying 12 grand for it. The original damage was to the driver and passengers door ., it was fixed 2 years ago and passed DMV/ CHP inspection . The registration is good till August of this year . The car is pretty clean drives really well . The only issues i noticed obviously was that driver seat was a bit worn ,and had a couple of tears. The breaks seemed a bit loose compared to my GS 400 & CAMRY . No vibrations or pulling . I will post pictures soon . Any more advice on where to get a nav with blue toot sys without distorting the original look of the car will be greatly appreciated - Thanks all

12K isn't too terribly bad, too much money IMHO, but not awful.
Still get a report just to know if you have any more issues you might have to deal with. I'm curious how the original damage is on the passenger and driver's door, doesn't make sense in terms of a wreck (both sides of the car, and no front end damage).
