New FUTURE Member/Needing to sell current car.
Hey everyone, I come from the other side of the car world (DTM) but I'm trying to sell my E46 325i before I can join you guys on the JDM side. I'm __ <that close to picking up an '07 IS 350 in Tungsten Pearl but, like I said, I have to sell my current car before I can buy the IS. ]
Also, just wanted to say hey to everyone since I'll be joining you all very soon with owning my first Lexus IS!

Here's a thread to help as you search for a 350 or to help you vet the one you've found: https://www.clublexus.com/forums/is-...e-threads.html
Make sure you get a pre-purchase inspection at a Lexus dealer and check the dealer service history online.
Why was there a "new" engine put in your car, out of curiosity?

As for my current car, it was overheating because the radiator hose was leaking badly so I got Carrol Autowerks (BMW specialist) to replace it... however, Steve Carrol aka the man responsible for 'fixing' my radiator failed to check the thermostat as well (any mechanic or gear head will know how big of a mistake that is) and so when I got my 'fixed' car back, it overheated even worse because my thermostat had failed to let me know. In the end, I had a cracked head and pistons 3 and 4 were misfiring leading to $5600 for a used engine with a warranty.... Needless to say I was furious but I couldn't prove he had been responsible and it's been too long since then to ever bring anything about it up again.

Haha I won't even begin to get an argument started between Lexus/BMW owners. I'll just say that I loved my car and it will be sad to let go of it but I'm definitely looking forward to this much faster/newer car. Thanks though and I'll be sure to!
